I've been curious about various food items in other countries, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping items?

Depends on what one can send without it going rancid.

I could send you a Falukorv (sausage) and a bucket of Falu color. Don't know how the sausage would hold up in a non refrigerated environment for a week though. Might be worth a try. Or you could go straight for the fermented Baltic herring. That's a classic.

Found a great link describing the what and the how regarding fermented Baltic herring: http://www.svensson.com/norge/sur1.htm

    Still curious?

    Hey Poep

Have you tried Swedish snus yet? I'll be more than happy to send it, but I bet Luke or someone else already done that.

They sell snus in the states. Though I don't know if they have their own brands.

I generally dislike foreign food. Every time I am abroad I miss my Thüringer Rostbratwurst, good ground meat and German bread. It's particularly bad in France. I wonder how one can eat those fucking baguettes and croissants and whatnot every fucking day of his life. A week without proper bread is enough to drive me insane.
